Recycling: Mine to His

The t-shirt was an old one of mine that I had "outgrown". I just took a stained T of Simon's, cut it up around all the seams to get the pattern. Then, cut, cut, cut and serged it all up! The shorts are a pair that I did (pre-serger) a few months ago from some scrap linen. I used a technique from one of my most favorite bloggers, Amanda Soule,  from her book The Creative Family.

Day One!!!

I apologize for the crappy photography. My husband is a professional photographer but is hardly available to take awesome pics of my crafts (at least when I want him to which is usually RIGHT NOW). So, I have to use an older digital that isnt quite how I want to reveal my craftiness. It will have to do for now. Oh, and I forgot to take a before pic of the t-shirt. Will do next time! I promise, I will get better at this blog thing!

Hello world! I am just getting started here on my craft blog. That's all that I have been up to since I have had my son, Simon. I sew, knit, and crochet mostly. I dabble into other hobbies such as cooking, planting, painting, and whatever else comes up that interests me. Today I took some old t-shirts of mine and made them into little-man t-shirts for Simon. I am still trying out my new serger so the stitching and sewing arent quite perfect, but THAT is exactly what I love about these projects. They give them definite character!
